WoolTech Optional Job Terms Checklist
1. About This Checklist
This checklist helps farmers, contractors and workers confirm practical job details before work starts. It is designed for plain-language job planning.
Use of this checklist is optional. WoolTech does not require farmers and contractors to sign a separate contract for every job. Users may rely on the Platform workflow, a quote, a message thread, their own written agreement, or another practical record where that is suitable for the job.
This checklist is not legal, tax, employment, payroll, work health and safety, insurance or financial advice. Users should get professional advice where needed.
2. When It May Be Useful
This checklist may be useful where a job involves unusual timing, travel, accommodation, changing sheep numbers, special facilities, a larger crew, multiple workers, cancellation risk, minimum payments, payment timing, or other details that should be clear before work starts.
For simple or routine jobs, users may only need to confirm the key details in the Platform, by quote acceptance, by email, by text message or by another practical record.
3. Quick Job Details
Users may want to confirm:
- farmer or farm business name;
- contractor or contractor business name;
- main contact people;
- general job location and access arrangements;
- type of work;
- estimated sheep numbers or work volume;
- expected dates or timing;
- whether dates are fixed or flexible; and
- any important conditions that may affect the job.
4. Price, Rate and Payment
Users may want to confirm:
- the rate, quote or pricing method;
- whether GST applies;
- what is included in the price;
- whether travel, accommodation, meals, call-out fees or minimum charges apply;
- who invoices whom;
- when payment is expected;
- the payment method; and
- what happens if sheep numbers, time, crew size or work requirements change.
5. Facilities, Access and Readiness
Users may want to confirm:
- shed, yards, power, water, toilets and amenities;
- access roads, gates, keys, codes and directions;
- whether sheep, wool, equipment or facilities must be ready before arrival;
- biosecurity requirements;
- animal welfare requirements;
- site hazards or safety issues; and
- who should be contacted if conditions change.
6. Crew, Workers and Responsibilities
Users may want to confirm:
- who is responsible for organising workers;
- expected crew size or roles;
- whether the contractor or farmer is responsible for worker payment;
- who supplies tools, equipment, transport or protective equipment; and
- whether any licences, insurance, work health and safety, tax, superannuation, award or employment obligations need to be considered.
7. Changes, Delays and Cancellations
Users may want to confirm what happens if:
- weather delays the job;
- sheep are not ready;
- facilities are not ready;
- sheep numbers materially change;
- the contractor or crew cannot attend;
- the farmer postpones or cancels;
- extra work is requested; or
- travel, accommodation, call-out fees or minimum charges have already been incurred.
8. Work Reports, Records and Disputes
Users may want to confirm:
- who records completed work;
- how work reports are reviewed;
- when records become final;
- how corrections are handled;
- what evidence should be kept; and
- who to contact first if there is a disagreement.
9. Relationship With WoolTech
This checklist is provided for convenience only. WoolTech is not a party to the underlying job arrangement between farmers, contractors and workers unless WoolTech expressly agrees otherwise in legally reviewed written terms.
Users remain responsible for deciding what terms are appropriate for their job and for complying with their own legal, tax, employment, payroll, award, work health and safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, insurance and business obligations.
10. Optional Short Confirmation
For many jobs, a short confirmation may be enough. For example:
Farmer and contractor confirm the job details, expected timing, scope, price or rate, access arrangements, facilities, responsibilities, payment timing, and any cancellation or changed-condition arrangements recorded in the WoolTech Platform, quote, messages or other agreed record.
